With 2,700 acres of water, the reservoir has tons to explore — from sandy beaches to stunning rock formations and more. The area’s famous cliffs are open for climbing, offering a stunning view of the lake from 70 feet in the air. Summersville Lake State Park is also home to West Virginia’s only operating lighthouse, another popular tourist attraction.
