"Snowbird" was launched in 1971, originally owned by a meticulous engineer who spent 45 years sailing her along the east coast with his wife. In 2017, the current owner took on a significant refit project with CW Hood Yachts to elevate her to a condition even better than new. The entire deck hardware was methodically removed, the weather decks and coach roof were replaced, and the structure of the teak cabin house was reinforced. New, elegantly shaped teak toe rails were added, along with modern materials for a new cockpit foundation. While her original systems were taken out to make room for modern upgrades (including a rebuilt Yanmar 75 horsepower diesel engine, which is currently not installed), all interior components have been preserved meticulously. With all the major structural work completed to ensure she can sail for another 50 years, the owner is now transitioning to a larger Little Harbor yacht and is eager to pass on this exciting project to someone who can complete it.
