NEITH, a remarkable survivor yacht, boasts a storied legacy that spans 118 years. After a complete restoration in the early 1980s, she has been cherished and expertly maintained by a single family, ensuring her vibrant condition both on and off the water. As a budding yacht brokerage, we had the pleasure of introducing this family to NEITH, who committed to restoring her to the glory she knew when Nathanael Herreshoff launched her. Now, 43 years later, we are assisting them in finding new owners who will continue to cherish and sail this exceptional piece of yachting history. Her hull features double planking, with a Fir exterior and Cypress interior above the waterline, complemented by Yellow Pine below. The interior ceiling is also Cypress, while the deck is adorned with Teak, complete with varnished Teak covering boards, toe rail, and king plank. The deck furniture showcases beautiful varnished Honduran Mahogany. NEITH has an eye-catching flat varnished Yellow Pine bow sprit. Each spring, she receives meticulous exterior maintenance, ensuring she always looks brand new. The interior was meticulously crafted to align with the original blueprints, involving the creation of custom tooling to replicate the original paneling and details. Varnishing, painting, and all interior fittings are true to the original specifications, featuring Cypress raised paneling and elegant Mahogany furniture, with a Teak cabin sole. The spars are made of varnished Spruce, and turning blocks are crafted from varnished Lignum Vitae. We replace all standing and running rigging as necessary, while custom bronze winches were specially made for NEITH by Barlow. Modern amenities, including wiring, plumbing, electronics, and mechanical systems, are seamlessly integrated to remain unobtrusive yet easily accessible.
