Bruce Roberts 50 Custom Ketch 2011

Introducing the unique 2011 Earl Rentmeester custom-built Bruce Roberts-Goodson design ketch sailboat, "Driftwood." This exceptional vessel is crafted from cold molded wood and encapsulated in fiberglass, ensuring both strength and beauty. Last surveyed in June 2023, "Driftwood" was sold to its current owners by the original builder, Earl Rentmeester. The hull features laminated Douglas Fir framing and 5-ply Birch plywood planking, meticulously laid diagonally and fastened, then laminated with West System 105/205 epoxy resin and hardener. The hull is sheathed in fiberglass cloth for added durability. Its rounded bilge canoe body design includes a fin keel and a skeg-mounted rudder, complemented by a protective "lobster/crab trap" guard. The engine has only 350 hours of use since its major overhaul. Stay tuned for more detailed features coming this week!
