Boat Description

This impressive vessel is equipped with all-new Garmin electronics, including a GPSMAP 943xsv helm, GPSMAP 743XSV navigation station, and a complete Garmin GNX wind bundle with additional instruments for depth, wind, speed, and auto-pilot control. Recent upgrades feature a new windlass accompanied by two new batteries, and fresh lifelines. In 2023/24, 95% of the running rigging was replaced, along with a new UV cover for the Genoa and a new mainsail cover. The boat also boasts new covers for the hatch, windlass, winch, and brightwork, as well as a new dodger, bimini, and bimini connector. Upgrades include brand new anchors, rode, a primary 50ft chain, and 150ft of high-quality nylon line. All thru hulls were replaced in 2023, and a thorough bottom job was completed the same year, alongside the replacement of the cutlass bearing. The house batteries have been upgraded to AGM batteries, and a new starting battery has been installed. The upholstery has been refreshed, and the boat comes with a Honda 2.3 outboard and a Magma grill. A survey conducted in July 2023 confirms its condition for insurance purposes. This vessel is turnkey ready, requiring only light cosmetic work. Designed by Ted Brewer, the Morgan 382 features a teardrop-shaped hull, wide beam, and a discreet reverse transom. Although it's a vintage design, the Morgan 382 was crafted as a cruiser, not a racer. Between 1977 and 1986, nearly 500 units were produced, including later configurations like the 383 and 384, and owners have taken them around the globe. The boat's balanced appearance is complemented by a low cabin trunk and 6-inch bulwarks, contributing to its sleek profile. Weighing over 17,000 pounds with a waterline of 30 feet 6 inches, it's categorized as heavy-displacement, yet its elongated fin keel and skeg-attached rudder ensure it is not a slow cruiser. Inside, the all-wood interior offers ample space and storage, with a double quarter berth to starboard that doubles as a nav area seat, and a large, efficient galley opposite. The saloon features an L-shaped seat to port, accommodating two comfortably at the drop-leaf table, while a wide settee and a narrow pilot berth are located on the starboard side. The head is spacious and includes a fully enclosed shower. To truly appreciate this highly upgraded Morgan, please view the 90 photos and a 10-minute high-definition video.
