Mares Power Catamarans have been crafted since 1994, and this particular model is their original, built in Titusville, FL, and assembled in Brazil. Previously owned by the company's founder, Carlos Ramirez, this boat has seen only 200 hours of use before being sold to its first owner in 1996 and then to the second owner in 2021. The starboard engine was completely rebuilt just 85 hours ago, while the port engine has 1400 hours since its major service at 2000 hours. The 20 KW Onan generator draws fuel from the main tanks (1) and had new windings in June 2021, with service performed less than 15 hours ago (3077 total hours). Water system consists of two 100-gallon fiberglass tanks, with fills located on the starboard side. Fuel is stored in two main tanks of 265 gallons under the main salon, with access from floor panels, plus two 180-gallon reserve tanks in the bow. Fuel transfer from reserve tanks is facilitated by two separate pumps in the engine room. The total fuel capacity allows for a cruising range of approximately 300 miles at 22-23 knots and about 750 miles at a displacement speed of 8-9 knots. A/C system features five units: the master and two salon units were replaced in 2016, the guest cabin unit was updated in 2008, and the captain's cabin has the original unit, which still operates well. A new A/C unit is available for replacement if needed. Both heads were completely rebuilt with new retro-fit units during the refurbishment in 2016, now equipped with stainless steel macerator blades instead of the original plastic blades. The haul features stepped sponsons for a smooth ride, and while the bottom paint is a few years old, it remains in good condition. Regular maintenance, cleaning, and anodes have been attended to. The main propellers were reconditioned and balanced in May 2025, and spare props are included with the sale.
