Below the waterline, wetted surfaces are solid GRP construction with vinylester resin, while above the waterline, isophthalic resin is employed. For areas such as thru-hulls, chainplates, and deck hardware, the construction is solid GRP. All deck hardware is through-bolted with aluminum backing plates laminated into place. Manta also incorporates Kevlar in the bow and keel areas. Thru-hull fittings and sea cocks are made from non-corrosive Marelon. The hull-to-deck bond is secured with 3M 5200 marine adhesive/sealant and reinforced with 360-degree unidirectional laminates for added structural integrity, creating a monocoque structure. The hull/deck seam is finished with a heavy-duty vinyl rub rail.
