Known for its practical layout and easy sail handling, this vessel is ideal for buyers looking to make some updates over time. Previously used for captain-led day sailing excursions, it can easily return to that service or serve as a comfortable private cruiser. Designed by Glenn Henderson for coastal cruising, the Hunter 31 features a 31-foot fractional sloop design, an 11.08 ft beam, a 3.92 ft shoal draft, and ample headroom over 6 ft. The B&R rig, which eliminates the backstay, offers stability and ease of handling, while maximizing both cockpit space and interior volume. Rigged as a fractional sloop, it boasts an in-mast furling Doyle mainsail and a 110% roller furling genoa, allowing for hassle-free sail management from the cockpit. Notable design elements include a fixed fin keel with a weighted bulb, a spade-type rudder, and a walk-through reverse transom with an integrated swim platform for easy access to the water. A recently added Bimini top provides shade, while the folding helm enhances cockpit space. The two stern rail seats and comfortable cockpit cushions create an inviting area for enjoyable sailing days, whether solo or with friends. On the electronics front, it comes equipped with a new Raymarine Axiom chartplotter, Icom HM-195 VHF, and an ACR ResQLink Personal Locator Beacon (PLB). The auxiliary power is provided by a Yanmar 3YM20 21hp diesel engine.
