HULL CONSTRUCTION & ARRANGEMENT: This vessel features an all-welded steel hull, with an estimated plating thickness of 1"x 6" for the keel/stem, 5/16" for the bottom, sides, and transom, ¼" for the deck, and 5/16" for the bulkheads. The framing consists of 5/16" x 4" flat bars spaced 21" apart. The rub-rail is made of split 6" schedule-40 pipe, while the bulwarks rise 50" at the front and taper to 30" at the back, topped with 3" pipe and equipped with sufficient freeing ports. The last haul-out was in 2020. LIFE SAVING EQUIPMENT: Safety gear includes five approved life jackets, three life rings, a first aid kit, a 6-man inflatable ZODIAC life raft (next inspection due June 2025), an ARC 406 MHz E.P.I.R.B., distress flares, and a bilge alarm system. MACHINERY & PROPULSION: The vessel is powered by a CATERPILLAR diesel engine, rebuilt in 2019, featuring a V-8-cylinder Model 3408 with 402HP and a 32-volt DC electric start. It employs a TWIN DISC MG-516 marine reverse and reduction gear with a 6:1 ratio, driving a single 59" bronze propeller within a 61" kort nozzle via a 4" steel jumper shaft and a Douglas type steady bearing connected to a 4" stainless steel tail shaft. The engine includes lube oil pressure and freshwater temperature alarms and is cooled by a closed freshwater system using a keel cooler, with a dry exhaust system. The engine controls and monitoring gauges are conveniently located atop the console in the pilothouse. AUXILIARIES: A 4-cylinder JOHN DEERE diesel engine serves as a 40KW genset, keel-cooled with dry exhaust, and a 12-volt start. The exhaust system is dry, featuring steel and flexible pipes insulated in the engine room, with mufflers exiting through the deckhouse at the aft end. FISH HOLE & FREEZER SYSTEM: The vessel is outfitted with a CARYLE compressor, hydraulically driven by either the main or auxiliary engine, cooled via a keel cooler condenser. Freezer plates are installed in the fish hold, and a wood/fiberglass dip brine tank is located on deck. PUMPS: The boat has two washdown and bilge/fire pumps, one 1¼" FLOMAX v-belt drive pump from the main engine, one 1¼" electric pump, and one electric pressure on-demand freshwater system. NAVIGATION & ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT: Equipped with essential navigation lights, charts, a 6" magnetic compass, a fog bell, a FURUNO radar, a FURUNO GPS navigator, an ICOM IC-VHF, a YAESU VHF marine radio, and a satellite phone. FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT: Fire extinguishers tested in March 2023 are positioned throughout the vessel: two 2 ½# in the pilothouse, one 10# above the dining table, one 10# in the galley, one 10# above the engine room hatch, and one 10# in the engine room. The deck features 1 ¼" hoses connected to pumps in the engine room. VENTILATION: The vessel has ample ventilation and air conditioning. FISHING GEAR: It is equipped with a 2-drum CMC trawl winch with two catheads, powered by the main engine PTO, along with a separate try-net winch driven by a 15-HP electric motor on the starboard side. The winch includes safety rails and cable guides, and all trawl doors and nets are in good condition. All rigging, blocks, cables, and ropes have been inspected and found to be in excellent shape. MAST, OUTRIGGERS & DECKBOOM: The vessel features a steel mast, steel aft boom, and outriggers.
