The 2009 Carolina Skiff 18 JVX is a 17′9″ (approx) center console bay boat built for shallow-water fishing, family outings and trailerable inshore use. With a 78″ beam and fiberglass hull, it's designed to navigate tidal creeks, flats and bays that larger boats cannot. Depending on rigging it accepts up to 70-75 hp outboards, carries up to 7 people (though optimal with fewer for best performance), and features deck storage, rod holders, and non-skid walkable surfaces. It brings together fishing capability and recreational versatility in a compact platform — great for coastal NC conditions, rivers, marshes and bays. On the flip side, it’s not intended for rough open-ocean conditions and benefits from careful load and trim management to perform its best.
