Burger 91 1984

Launched in 1984, DIDAY was acquired by her current owner in 1993 and immediately underwent a comprehensive refit at Derecktor Shipyards in Mamaroneck, New York. The plans for her transformation were crafted by Bill Langen of Sparkman & Stephens, which included widening the topsides from the rail to the chine from midship aft and extending her by 10 feet. This extension allowed for a garage storage area, a night generator room, and a stunning aft deck perfect for dining and lounging. The interior was completely remodeled, featuring a new GM 1292 Diesel engine, which was later upgraded to 12V 2000 engines in 2001. Additionally, the running gear shafts and props were adjusted to fit the new design. The exquisite interior renovation was managed by Orsini Design of New York and carried out at Derecktor's Shipyards. In 2001, two new 32 KW Kohler generators were installed, along with the updated MTU 2000 Series engines. With 6,000 hours on the MTU engines and the flybridge arch added during the 1993-95 refit, her interior stands as an exemplary showcase of a meticulously overseen yacht refit, highlighting her impressive pedigree.
