Boat Description

Commissioned as Hull 132C "Lisa June III" on May 27, 1964, this stunning yacht was built for a loyal Burger customer, marking the second of four yachts crafted for this owner. Known as COCONUT, she epitomizes the essence of a true Gentleman’s Yacht. This 63’ Flush Deck Cruiser has gracefully navigated the Florida coast and Caribbean waters, showcasing her captivating design, polished handrails, and durable aluminum construction. In 2000, Jackson Boatworks invested over $1 million to restore her to her original 1964 splendor, followed by a meticulous refit in 2017 by her current owner. With three staterooms, two heads, and Crew Quarters, COCONUT ensures seamless voyages, whether cruising the intracoastal, crossing the Gulf, or tackling the Great Loop. COCONUT is a must-see for discerning yacht enthusiasts who appreciate a vessel with a rich pedigree. The history of Burger Boats dates back to when Simon and Margaretta Brauburger emigrated from Germany to the United States, eventually settling in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their son Henry, at age 18, began his journey in shipbuilding. In 1863, he founded the H. Burger Shipyard in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, crafting high-quality fishing boats that earned acclaim across the Great Lakes. Burger continues to build exceptional yachts, including models like the Burger 180' Motor Yacht and the Burger 66 Motor Yacht concept. Designed by renowned firm Sparkman & Stephens, COCONUT reflects the innovative spirit of mid-century yacht design. Originally named Black Gold by M.K. Chapman and later renamed Lady J by country music star Alan Jackson, this iconic vessel underwent a comprehensive restoration after Jackson's purchase in 2000. Following a series of memorable cruises, Lady J transitioned to Al Thomas in 2008, where she was meticulously maintained. After her current owner acquired her in 2016, COCONUT underwent a significant interior refit and cosmetic enhancements at Rybovich Marina, resulting in her exceptional rejuvenation. Now based in Stuart, FL, she thrives in the intracoastal waterways, perfect for family and guest entertainment. COCONUT is not just a yacht; she represents a bygone era of craftsmanship and elegance. Her flush deck design, robust build, and rich history make her a rare treasure among classic yachts. Whether gliding through serene waters or docking at exclusive marinas, COCONUT captivates all who behold her. This floating masterpiece continues to craft her legacy on the open water, and you could be the next to write her story.
