Boat Description

The price has been adjusted as of March 4th, 2026, and is now firm. This one-owner VISION 46 boasts an impressive array of specifications and upgrades. Delivered to Lake Erie and commissioned by Catawba Island Club and Bavaria USA in June 2016, it has exclusively sailed in fresh water throughout the Great Lakes and has always been stored in heated conditions. With ongoing upgrades and meticulous maintenance, all records are available for review. The 'Vision' series offers a superior experience compared to the 'Cruiser' series, featuring 14 opening hatches and port lights, along with a spacious 7'2" high ceiling. Hand-holds are abundant, including two stainless steel ones on the ceiling, and the interior design includes padded panels with rounded edges for safety. The offset companionway allows for a larger galley and a centerline sink, as well as a cockpit daybed that converts when the electric table is lowered. The cushions are in pristine condition, having seen minimal use. Designed by Bruce Farr, this boat showcases exceptional build quality, surpassing production boats like Beneteau or Jeanneau. It features a solid fiberglass hull, hand-laid with no coring below the waterline, and glassed-in bulkheads that offer remarkable stiffness. There is no wood in the core or deck, and critical sail gear, such as winches, has been upgraded. The 'garage' area is a standout, equipped with a toolbox, custom work shelf, and ample storage for cushions, two folding bikes, spare life jackets, a grill, an extra anchor, and additional canvas, all accessible from the cockpit or through the walk-in shower stall. The two-cabin layout includes a master suite forward and a VIP cabin aft, which can be configured with twin beds or converted to a king-sized bed using headboard panels and cushions. The salon table is electric and can lower to create a queen berth with cushions underneath. The navigation station table also drops down to convert into a settee or single berth. We have enjoyed luxurious and comfortable time onboard, and this boat is ready for immediate cruising on the Great Lakes or down the ICW, featuring a 64' ICW mast and a 5.5' shoal keel. Recent upgrades include electronics and battery replacements, and the bilge is clean and dry, with all AC units draining into dedicated pump boxes. The teak, gelcoat, and interior are in outstanding, nearly new condition. With low engine hours due to a comprehensive sail inventory, this boat can sail efficiently even in light winds, achieving over 8 knots in 12 knots of wind or 8 knots with a code sail. It handles all points of sail well and is easy to reef single-handedly. Docking is simplified with a bow thruster and remote control for single-handed operation. The owner is providing a comprehensive turnover, including all maintenance records, receipts, and numerous spares, dock lines, power cords, and fenders—everything needed to start cruising right away. After sailing the Great Lakes on Sofia and two previous vessels, the seller is transitioning to a larger ocean/blue water boat for adventures in the Bahamas, Caribbean, and East Coast. A Brig 10' dinghy, stored on deck with either a hard-bottom slat floor or inflatable floor, as well as paddles, two seats, and a padded seat/storage bag, is also available. A 3.5HP Torqueedo Travel Motor with a spare high-capacity battery, charger, and custom motor mount is included, allowing for quick setup on the dinghy in just 2-3 minutes. The dinghy can be easily lifted and secured on the forward deck, freeing up space for anchor access. The owner is committed to providing a high-level turnover and may assist with delivery depending on the final location.
