The story of Windsor Craft begins in Minnesota, where in the late 1980s, Irwin Jacobs, the visionary behind Genmar, created a line of fiberglass cruisers featuring luxurious mahogany decks and interiors. After producing around a hundred boats in Little Falls, Jacobs paused the brand, only to revive it in 2007 with an ambitious vision: a fully wooden vessel inspired by the iconic mahogany cruisers of America's golden boating era. Due to the high costs of local craftsmanship, Jacobs partnered with Vicem in Turkey, a renowned yard specializing in cold-molded mahogany yachts. The Windsor Craft 36 was selected to launch this new line, with the hull alone requiring approximately 3,800 hours of meticulous labor. Her deep burgundy hull is elegantly complemented by a varnished mahogany sheer, a cream hardtop, polished stainless steel rails, and bright portlights.
