But the SPX is not just about size; it also maximizes functionality. The previous 190 featured a traditional layout with two helm seats and a full-beam aft bench, limiting seating to five fixed positions and creating a cumbersome access to the swim platform. The SPX breaks away from this conventional design with an innovative asymmetrical layout. Now, the cockpit walkway leads from the step-through screen to the port side of the aft bench, where the extra beam creates a walk-through transom for easier movement. Additionally, this design allows for a versatile two-man seating unit on the port side, which can be configured as inward-facing seats, a single forward-facing seat, or a long aft-facing lounger, making it ideal for watching a wakeboarder. The test boat features a reinforced removable infill for added durability, significantly improving usability compared to the original model.
