Dauntless is a one-of-a-kind 78-foot expedition yacht, custom-crafted by renowned sculptor Art Benson, designed for adventurous family cruising around the globe. This yacht blends artistry with functionality, boasting stunning hull lines and unique bronze fittings. It is fully capable of long-distance voyages under both motor and sail. 

Originally named "Javalina Queen," Dauntless is tailored for high-latitude sailing, featuring 6 inches of insulation throughout. Its enclosed, heated pilothouse, robust steel hull, and reinforced bow make it adept at navigating icy Arctic waters. The interior layout is practical and straightforward, with a master cabin located near the pilothouse for easy access to the helm, and guest quarters forward that include a desk and private head. A spacious whale-watching platform around the bowsprit invites family and friends to enjoy stunning views. 

The galley comes equipped with a large, gimbaled 4-burner stove and oven, alongside two full-sized refrigerators and a deep freezer located in the engine room for ample food storage. The salon features a cozy sofa and dinette, perfect for engaging conversations. 

The expansive engine room includes a workbench, a generator, a welder, and a well-maintained 3208 Caterpillar main engine. 

For anchoring, Dauntless is fitted with two 400-pound anchors, each paired with 250 feet of chain stored in convenient house pipes. 

The power system consists of two D-series deep cycle batteries and two D-series lithium polymer batteries. A Mastervolt inverter charger facilitates charging when connected to shore power, while 1000 watts of solar energy paired with a 60-amp charge converter supports power needs while underway using the diesel engine. The yacht's transmission gearing allows for a cruising range of 1,000 nautical miles on a single 300-gallon fuel tank. 

For navigation, Dauntless is equipped with two 24-inch computers running Coastal Explorer, complete with their own AIS receivers, GPS units, and a marine NMEA 2000 network backbone.
