Boat Description

Step into the inviting salon from the cockpit, where you'll find a spacious U-shaped dinette and table, ideal for relaxing or enjoying meals. The navigation station is conveniently located at the aft bulkhead, and steps lead you to both the port and starboard sides. On the starboard side, you'll discover the first stateroom, featuring a comfortable athwartships double berth along with ample storage and lockers. As you move forward, the galley awaits, equipped with counters and appliances on either side, making it easy to stay connected with the group while cooking, thanks to the inboard sink that overlooks the salon. Next, you'll find another generous stateroom with a fore-and-aft facing double berth and additional lockers. Descending the steps on the port side, you'll encounter a spacious head with a tub/shower combo, toilet, and vanity, followed by a well-equipped workshop boasting extensive storage for tools and parts, making it a standout feature among boats. Ahead of the workshop, there's a cozy single berth/settee and a library area, both open to the salon. The forward section features a third large stateroom with a fore-and-aft facing double berth and more lockers. This vessel comfortably accommodates three couples or a large family. The warm ambiance is enhanced by beautiful African and Honduran teak with cherry trim cabinetry, complemented by flag blue dinette cushions. Some updated decor in the staterooms and fresh paint will truly make her shine. Ventilation is plentiful with six opening ports, eight hatches, one solar fan in the aft cabin, and two Hella fans. The salon and staterooms boast teak and holly flooring, while other areas feature vinyl. The mid-ships galley includes a three-burner stove with oven, double sinks with a built-in drain board, a front-loading refrigerator and freezer, and an additional drop-in freezer/refrigerator, all complemented by a Seagull IV drinking water filtration system with a dedicated faucet. The cockpit/helm deck is equipped with a full hard dodger and windshield. This is hull #1, crafted in South Africa, and known for its robust offshore capabilities. The design features a hard foredeck for ample storage and a Nacelle hull that breaks waves to prevent slapping underneath the center hull. While Kimarah requires some TLC, the owners have made significant upgrades, ensuring this solid vessel will make a fantastic cruiser with a bit of effort. Additional features include an insect screen enclosure, aft deck awning, padded helm seat, teak table, cockpit cushions, ignition with LED lights, and various Raymarine navigation instruments. The Kobuta (Beta Marine) 37.5HP diesel engine with high thrust bearing and steerable Sonic outdrive is complemented by dual 27-gallon stainless steel fuel tanks. Battery monitoring, solar panels, and an 1800 watt inverter enhance her self-sufficiency. The sailing rig includes a Profurl roller furling headsail, fully battened mainsail, and multiple self-tailing winches for easy single-handed sailing. A large teak swim platform connects the hulls, along with stainless steel bow and stern pulpits, double lifelines, and a robust anchoring system with an electric windlass. This boat comes equipped with a 2003 West Marine 9' inflatable dinghy, a 1996 Avon inflatable dinghy, a Torqueedo electric motor, and various emergency equipment, making her ready for any adventure.
