The Moody 38 CC, crafted by renowned designer Bill Dixon, is a dependable bluewater cruiser built to Lloyds standards. Key features include: New bottom paint/antifoul (March 2025), a new hot water heater (2025), beautiful teak laid in the cockpit sole and seating— all glued without screws! Additionally, the Lewmar salon port holes were professionally rebuilt and rebedded, while all other port holes were cleaned and rebedded. Keel bolts were replaced in 2013, and all thru hulls were updated with Forespar Marelon (except the galley sink) in 2012. The boat's engine is a Volvo MD22L Diesel, 50 HP (hours unknown), easily accessible from all sides. It has a 50-gallon steel fuel tank serviced in 2012, 96 gallons of aluminum water capacity, and two holding tanks. The layout features 2/3 cabins with two heads, accommodating up to 7 people comfortably. The large aft cabin boasts a walkaround double berth, while the forward v-berth cabin offers two singles that convert into a double. The spacious salon includes extra sleeping space and a Nav Station to starboard, along with ample storage. Electronics include a 7-inch Raymarine chartplotter (2014), hydraulic autopilot, and shore power connections. The rig features an in-mast furling mainsail and a roller furling genoa, both serviced by Doyle in 2012 but with minimal use since. The seller will provide one engine start battery, with installation required by the buyer. The vessel requires new canvas for the dodger and bimini, and the foresail needs a suncover service.
