The Volvo-Penta IPS joystick control technology makes this possible, operating with twin pod drives beneath the hull. When conventional twin-engine controls are neutral, a single joystick takes over, allowing for precise fingertip control without the need for thrusters. Each drive unit is managed independently in direction, RPM, and forward-reverse gear through an innovative computer program, offering a more intuitive experience than standard twin shaft drives or joystick/thruster operated jet drives.
