Repowered by Hinckley Sweetwater in February 2026, this vessel features a new Yanmar 4LV250 engine, following extensive repairs needed for the original Yanmar 6LY due to a cooler failure at 500 hours of service. With Yanmar no longer supplying the 6LY engines and parts being limited, the owner opted for this new engine, which has significantly enhanced performance—boosting top speed from 22 to 24 mph, improving time to plane, and achieving full RPM effortlessly. The repower included a new ZF transmission, new motor mounts, and upgraded Yanmar digital controls, all backed by the remaining balance of Yanmar's two-year factory warranty. Additionally, the hull bottom was fully stripped, receiving a new barrier coat and bottom paint, with running gear being prepared for a Prop Speed application after sea trials. This vessel is equipped with an upgraded lithium battery bank and inverter, providing 120v service while cruising or at anchor without the need for a generator. The Marlow Pilot 31 is a beautifully detailed hardtop cruiser featuring a semi-enclosed pilothouse with large windows and opening vents for optimal airflow.
