Boat Description

The Marlow Explorer, renowned as a premier open ocean cruising vessel, presents "The Garlic," a classic boat that is mechanically sound and primed for adventure. With relatively low engine hours compared to other vessels in its class, she is attractively priced, making her a standout option in the current market. "The Garlic" has successfully completed multiple voyages to the Bahamas and has been actively used until her owners decided to upgrade to a larger Marlow model. This opens the door for any Owner/Operator or crewed owner to step in and continue enjoying this beautiful boat. While she would benefit from some cosmetic upgrades to align with the preferences of her new owner, her pricing compensates for any improvements needed, as she boasts the lowest hours on her twin Caterpillar engines available. The sellers are open to all reasonable offers. Known for her stunning profile and traditional lines, this Marlow is a seaworthy vessel designed for long-range, open ocean excursions while still capable of impressive speed. The Flag blue Awlgrip finished hull is a highly sought-after feature, complemented by best-in-class construction technologies. Her composite structure, incorporating Dupont Kevlar, vinylester resins, core-cell foam, and engineered fabrics, is vacuum bagged and crafted in only three major molds, ensuring exceptional strength and durability against rough seas and floating debris. The patented Velocijet Strut Keels provide remarkable performance and reliable tracking in challenging conditions, while the core-cell foam construction enhances strength and offers excellent sound and thermal insulation. Recent features and upgrades include fresh paint above the rub rails and sides, a new non-skid deck on the bow, a new bottom paint job, and a refreshed engine room. The wooden steps to the crew and engine room have been upgraded, the crane has been refinished and repainted, and new engine and house batteries have been installed. All windows have been re-bedded and recaulked, and she is powered by reliable Caterpillar 3406 engines (800hp) with low hours and new alternators, achieving a top speed of 19 knots. The open flying bridge has been fitted with new isinglass, and she is equipped with bow and stern thrusters, Naiad fin stabilizers, a new watermaker, and new props. With three staterooms and four heads, all services are up to date, and all AC compressors and air handlers have been recently replaced.
