Herkee is a converted Lagoon 380 sailing catamaran that is not available for charter. Since acquiring her in 2020, the current owners have upgraded her with new Yanmar 40hp engines and sail drives, installed extensive solar and lithium power systems, and dis-masted her to create a self-sufficient, off-the-grid power catamaran. The dis-masting has lowered her center of gravity, improving stability in rough conditions, reduced her air draft to 13 feet, and led to cleaner decks free of rigging clutter. With over 1200 hours logged, including three trips to the Southern Bahamas since her repower, Herkee has undergone continuous enhancements and is truly a turn-key vessel ready for cruising. Key features include: Yanmar 3JH40 diesel engines and sail drives with N2K connectivity for monitoring (installed in 2023), 1000-hour service completed for both engines as of May 2026, impressive speeds and fuel consumption rates (6.8 knots at 1800 RPM consuming 1.8 GPH, 7.2 knots at 2000 RPM consuming 2 GPH, 7.5 knots at 2300 RPM consuming 2.3 GPH, and 8.5-9 knots at 2900 RPM consuming 4.5 GPH), a 52-gallon fuel tank providing an approximate range of 240 miles, a robust 1600 A/H lithium battery bank, twin 3000W Victron Multiplus II 12/3000 inverters (split phase 120/240V), 10 solar panels, a portable 1500W backup generator (with 120 hours of use), a newer Raymarine electronics suite, Starlink Gen3 satellite internet, a fourth cabin dedicated to solar power management, extra refrigeration, and tool storage, a composting head, and a new refrigerator plumbed for a water maker.
