Boat Description

The Hunter 33.5 boasts a spacious and well-designed cockpit, complete with a walk-through transom and comfortable high-backed benches. All control lines are conveniently routed to the coach roof, where you'll find sheet stoppers and self-tailing winches easily accessible from the helm. The winches are positioned just ahead of the helm station, ensuring quick access for the crew, while wide side decks, inboard shrouds, and handrails make moving about the deck safe and easy. At the bow, a deep anchor locker and bow roller with an electric windlass provide efficient anchor storage. The full-length aluminum toe rail offers robust protection and multiple tie-down options. As a refined version of the Hunter 34, the Hunter 33.5 features a surprisingly bright and spacious interior with an impressive 6'5" headroom. This later "T" (trunk cabin) model includes an athwartship private aft cabin with a true double bunk, additional ports and hatches, along with a larger 27hp Yanmar 3GM30F diesel engine. Performance-wise, the Hunter 33.5 excels due to its large sail plan and bulb wing keel, making it easy to handle solo. Accommodations below decks are family-friendly and crew-friendly, characterized by a welcoming ambiance with excellent ventilation and plenty of natural light, accentuated by rich teak wood finishes. The main salon features a U-shaped dinette that converts to a berth to starboard and a long settee to port, with a NAV station conveniently located at the aft end of the port settee. Forward of the salon, you'll find the marine head and vanity, with the vanity to port and the head and shower to starboard. The private guest cabin forward has a generous double V berth, storage lockers, and a large overhead hatch, while the owner's cabin aft offers an athwartship double bed, additional storage, and a privacy door. The fully equipped cruising galley includes a double burner alcohol stove, a deep double-lid refrigerated ice box, and ample storage. Sleeping arrangements are comfortable for up to 7 adults: 2 in the owner's cabin, 2 in the private forward cabin, 2 on the convertible dinette, and 1 on the port settee. The tank capacities include 42 gallons of diesel, 56 gallons of fresh water, and 35 gallons of holding, providing ample resources for extended cruising. Recent upgrades and equipment include: - 3GM30F Yanmar Diesel with 638 hours (as of 2014 meter) - New mainsail and Mack Pack installed in April 2022 - New injectors, o-rings, and copper seals installed in May 2023 - Stainless exhaust elbow and hose replaced in July 2023 - 135% roller furling genoa with luff tape and whisker pole - Remote RAM installed in May 2022 - Standard Horizon GX2200 VHF with AIS display - Solar panel installed in May 2022 - New refrigeration system as of October 2022 - Maxwell windlass with controls at both the anchor locker and helm - 230 feet of chain and 8 plait rode - Battery isolator and galvanic isolator - Lifelines replaced in May 2022 with Dyneema - 12,000 BTU A/C with EasyStart, capable of running on a small generator - Digital Yacht NavLink 2 interface for smart device data display - Antisense NMEA converter for AIS target display from VHF - West Marine soft bottom dinghy and ePropulsion outboard motor and battery (with spare prop and charger) for 2024 - Standing rigging inspection and tuning scheduled for 2025 - Victron battery monitor and all USCG required equipment included Additional items include inflatable PFDs, jack lines, tethers, navigation tools, spare parts, and a well-maintained bottom due for paint in the next two years.
