Introducing the 1982 Hatteras 56 Widebody Motor Yacht, affectionately named 'ELIXIR'. This stunning vessel features a spacious three-stateroom, three-head layout with a galley positioned down below, rivaling the comfort and space often found in much larger yachts. The wheelhouse seamlessly connects to the salon, offering nearly 360-degree visibility from the helm. Notably, the Hatteras 56 was the first to incorporate the innovative super wide double chine hull design, a feature that has become a standard in many subsequent Hatteras models. With twin Detroit Diesel 8V92TAs housed in separate engine rooms for easy maintenance, 'ELIXIR' glides along at a comfortable cruising speed of 15-16 knots, topping out at around 18 knots. The inviting semi-enclosed aft deck is perfect for entertaining guests. Recent upgrades and features include: a new bottom job (July 2025), a custom 12' - 20' Vetrus bimini on the flybridge, an extended swim platform (total vessel length of 63'), Garmin electronics and autopilots at both the lower and upper helms, convenient aft deck engine controls, and two Northern Lights generators (20KW & 12KW). Additional improvements include a new A/C system raw water pump (October 2025), four new Rule 2000 32 VDC bilge pumps with float switches (August 2025), and a village marine 800 GPD water maker (operational but untested). Please note some features are currently non-functional, including two of the five reverse-cycle A/C units, Naiad fin stabilizers, a Vetus bow thruster, and a bow cabin ensuite head toilet.
