Introducing the 169' Classic Expedition Yacht, BEAUPORT, a unique opportunity to own a fully-equipped ocean-going expedition vessel. Built in Quebec for the Canadian Coast Guard, this ice-class steel yacht boasts a robust construction that surpasses typical yacht standards, defining her as a serious long-range explorer rather than a mere conversion. Since her transformation into an explorer yacht in the early 1990s, BEAUPORT has undergone continuous upgrades, merging commercial-grade durability with luxurious yacht-style living. Her steel hull, reinforced superstructure, and round-bilge displacement ensure exceptional stability and seakeeping, enhanced by fin stabilizers and impressive fuel capacity, making her ideal for economical transoceanic journeys. BEAUPORT's mission capabilities are extraordinary for her size, offering deck space, lift capacity, and logistical flexibility comparable to much larger expedition vessels. The foredeck features twin 2,000 lb Navy anchors and robust ground tackle, while an 8-ton hydraulic crane facilitates heavy equipment deployment and tender handling. The upper boat deck is designed for operational efficiency and has previously supported helicopter operations. Currently, she carries a 29' Blackfin fishing boat and a 22' Boston Whaler Dauntless, but her adaptable design can accommodate: up to 22 guests in 10 cabins, up to 12 crew in 6 cabins (operating comfortably with 9), and various tenders and equipment configurations. With a designated helicopter landing area and a spacious cargo hold for transporting expedition gear, BEAUPORT serves as an exceptional multi-role platform for luxury expeditions, commercial charters, scientific research, and private exploration. The yacht's layout features accommodations for 22 guests in 10 staterooms, including a lavish owner's suite with a king berth, walk-in closet, and Jacuzzi tub. Guest areas are thoughtfully designed for privacy and efficient service, with multiple social environments, including a formal dining salon, main deck lounge, skylounge, and alfresco dining spaces. Recently refurbished in 2023, the interior exemplifies a balance of comfort and functionality. BEAUPORT is powered by twin 640HP Fairbanks Morse diesel engines, ensuring reliable propulsion and exceptional fuel efficiency. The machinery spaces are spaciously arranged for easy access and maintenance, emphasizing the vessel's commercial heritage. Registered for commercial use and compliant with MARPOL regulations, BEAUPORT is a versatile asset for adventure charters, scientific exploration, and corporate events, providing significant lifestyle and operational potential. With 683 GT of internal volume, she competes with modern explorer yachts at a fraction of the replacement cost, offering remarkable capability and presence without the financial burden of a new build. Currently held within a Panamanian foundation for tax efficiency, BEAUPORT is poised for international ownership, offering flexibility and advantages based on the buyer's needs.
