Crafted in 1975, the Carter 3/4 Ton was among the many successful designs of its era that adhered to the IOR rating, proving its competitive edge in class racing while maintaining excellent performance in PHRF races. In 2019, I had the opportunity to discuss the design's history with Dick Carter himself at his home, and I learned about a slight modification made to the 33’ model featured in his book, 'Dick Carter Yacht Designer'.
