Boat Description

Introducing the 23.8m / 78'1 custom motor yacht 'Serenity', expertly crafted by Burger. This luxurious yacht showcases a refined exterior design and engineering excellence by the renowned Sparkman & Stephens team. Previously known as Electra, Silver Seas, and Harvest Moon, Serenity has a storied past. After enduring the challenges of Hurricane Ian, where a 9' storm surge lifted her off a concrete dock, Serenity has been meticulously restored. Despite suffering damage to her struts, rudders, propellers, stabilizers, and exhaust cowlings, she remained afloat. Since January, the yacht has been out of the water for repairs, including a new phasor generator, and has received fresh paint and varnish in 2024. Acquired in January 2022 after both transmissions were rebuilt, she successfully navigated from Annapolis, MD to Sanibel, FL without issue. Prior to the hurricane, Serenity was a reliable vessel on the west coast of Florida. This is a prime opportunity to own a Burger motor yacht with a fully rebuilt or replaced running gear and refurbished stabilizer actuators. Key features include: New Hull Paint & Varnish (2024). Serenity was previously owned by the Naval Academy Sailing Foundation for 7 years and was lightly used. The current owner conducted extensive hull and engine surveys, including audiogauge inspections, and tuned up the engines and generators according to survey recommendations. With completely rebuilt twin disk MG 514 transmissions and various other system updates, Serenity has cruised seamlessly from Annapolis through the Keys to Sanibel. This stunning 78' Burger cockpit motor yacht features an added TNT platform to the swim platform, though the platform and tender were lost in the hurricane, leaving the brackets intact. Both main engines were replaced in 2001, and the 2 X 20KW Onans were replaced in 1999 but suffered damage during the hurricane; the owner plans to salvage one generator from the two and install a new 20kW phasor generator. Inside, you will find 3 staterooms aft with ensuite heads and 3 crew quarters forward. The yacht is equipped with a bow thruster and Naiad stabilizers. The original boat deck davit was removed to accommodate the TNT platform, but the previous tender area on the boat deck has been transformed into a safe open-air lounge with railings and a BBQ grill, complementing the covered flybridge.
