The Blackfin 29 Combi is an impressive rough-water boat that, despite its compact size, boasts a robust fiberglass deep-V hull and a wide beam with a pronounced bow flare. Its low center of gravity, especially with the inboard engine, provides exceptional stability for trolling, even before adding a tower. Inside, the Combi features a cozy cabin with a convertible dinette/V-berth at the front, a mini-galley, and a standup head equipped with a shower. The cockpit is spacious enough for a small chair, and engine access is excellent. This boat has been a favorite for many years and received updates in 1995, transforming it into the Blackfin 29-2 Combi, which introduced a redesigned bridge deck, a curved windshield, an integral bow pulpit, and a new helm console with additional space for electronics. The original 29 Combi had engine boxes, while the 29-2 model redesigned these into aft-facing lounge seats. The standard 320hp gas engines cruise at 23–24 knots, with optional 230hp Volvo diesels reaching 25 knots. For those opting for Cummins 315hp diesels, cruising speeds can reach 28–29 knots, with a top speed of around 32 knots.
