The Blackfin 29 Combi is an impressive rough-water vessel, known for its robust construction and solid fiberglass deep-V hull, complemented by a wide beam and a pronounced bow flare. Its low center of gravity, particularly with the inboard configuration, ensures a stable platform for trolling, even before considering the addition of a tower. Inside, the compact cabin features a convertible dinette/V-berth at the front, a mini-galley, and a standup head with a shower. The cockpit is spacious enough for a small chair, and engine access is exceptionally convenient. A favorite among boaters for years, it received an update in 1995, becoming the Blackfin 29-2 Combi, which introduced a redesigned bridge deck, a curved windshield, an integral bow pulpit, and a helm console with increased space for electronics. While the original 29 Combi had engine boxes, the redesigned 29-2 model transformed these into aft-facing lounge seats. The standard 320hp gas engines enable cruising speeds of 23–24 knots, with optional 230hp Volvo diesels reaching 25 knots. For those opting for Cummins 315hp diesels, cruising speeds can hit 28–29 knots, with a top speed approaching 32 knots.
