What Sets the Bayfield 40 Apart:
Designed by Ted Gozzard and built by Bayfield Boat Yard Ltd. in Ontario, Canada, the Bayfield 40 is an acclaimed short-handed cruiser known for its comfort and performance. This cutter-rigged ketch offers an array of sail configurations—more than many vessels of her size—providing excellent balance and control across various wind conditions. Her full keel and moderate displacement ensure a stable and secure ride, while her shallow draft of approximately five feet opens up opportunities to explore the rivers, bays, and creeks along the U.S. East Coast, as well as the shallows of the Florida Keys and the Bahamas.

Accommodations:
The Bayfield 40 features a unique and functional interior layout, boasting two private aft staterooms and a spacious head with a separate shower at the front. This setup creates a generous main saloon in the center, brightened by a large butterfly hatch that floods the space with natural light. The interior is both inviting and comfortable, making it perfect for extended cruising or living aboard.

Interior Features:
- Teak and holly sole throughout
- Two private aft cabins with cabinetry and privacy panels
- Expansive saloon with a settee and large dining table to starboard
- Navigation station located to port
- Large "butterfly" hatch for ample natural light and ventilation
- Multiple opening ports for cross-ventilation
- Abundant storage throughout
