Sunny Briggs Custom Carolina 1984

This 1984 37-foot Custom Carolina boat has undergone a complete renovation in 2021. In the past year, all components were removed from the bilge compartment, which was then stripped down to its raw wood and fiberglassed and painted. The engine was also serviced with a new turbo and riser, and a block heater was added. The genset was painted and serviced, and new batteries, switches, boxes, and cables were installed. Additionally, all hoses and check valves were replaced, new wiring was installed, and a new head and plumbing system were put in. The head was also painted and new racors were added for both the main and generator. The fuel pickup for the genset was also replaced, and the seachest was upgraded with all composite valves and new strainers. Soundproofing foam was installed under the salon deck and engine box, and a new salon door and windows were put in. The cockpit was painted, the lazarette and hatch were replaced, and a new tackle station lid was added. The entire hull was repainted, including the bridge, head, and bottom, and the rub rail was remounted. A new control for the bow thruster was also installed, along with LED engine room lights. The companionway was modified to include hinged stairs for easier access from the front, while the wheel, wildcat, prop nuts, and propspeed all underwent work and alignment from Rick Moore. The shaft and rudder seals were also replaced, and the steering pump on the bridge was rebuilt. A new all-around running light was added to the hard top, and an additional lazarette hatch was put in. To improve functionality, an AC condensation box was also installed, along with a transom door and bilge pump indicator lights and a gen run light. Lastly, a new oil XC pump was added.
