This unique Ricky Scarborough 26 SportFish, constructed by one of the most renowned sportfishing builders in the world, is a truly special vessel. Originally built by Ricky Sr. himself in 1998 as a 26-foot workboat skiff with a single Cummins inboard engine, it underwent a complete restoration and refit by Weaver Boat Works in South Carolina. The upgrades include the installation of two Yanmar 6Y 170 hp turbocharged Freshwater cooled inboard engines, an air conditioning and heating system, and an inverter system to power the bulkhead mounted color TV. The cabin was also restored and additional features such as combing boards, a transom live well, and a Marlin tower were added. The hull was repainted in a striking Seafoam green color. The current owner has continued to enhance this vessel with a new custom dash and switch panel, a Simrad 12-inch NSS GPS/Fishfinder display, radar, VHF radio, and stereo, along with replacing the 12 Volt wiring and installing a convenient electric engine hatch.
