The diesel propulsion engines efficiently charge the house battery bank while operating, providing 24V at 90A each (180A combined) through dedicated high-duty cycle alternators. This setup allows for AC load capabilities without draining the house bank while underway. Each engine is equipped with a 12V starter system that powers blowers for effective heat removal from the engine bays. The 24V DC house battery bank powers the entire boat except for AC loads (such as calorifiers and plug sockets) and any optional extras like ice makers, washer-dryers, water makers, air conditioning, and induction stovetops.
