The V-55 is a versatile powerhouse, excelling as an offshore tournament contender, a high-performance sport yacht, a fishing and cruising express, or even as a tender for a Viking or superyacht. It is propelled by either quadruple or quintet Mercury 7.6-liter V12 600-hp Verado outboards, specifically designed and engineered for this vessel. According to Viking's Vice President of Design and Engineering, Lonni Rutt, the boat's transom and structure are tailored to support both the weight and power of these engines, allowing for seamless integration with cutting-edge technology. With a remarkable fuel capacity of 1,200 gallons—200 to 300 gallons more than competing boats—the Valhalla 55 features an advanced electrically operated fuel management system that enhances reliability by allowing each engine to draw from designated fuel tanks. The V-55 employs the patented Stepped-V Ventilated Tunnel (SVVT) designed by Michael Peters Yacht Design, delivering outstanding performance across the board, from ride quality and efficiency to maneuverability and helm visibility. This model stands out as the largest center console on the market utilizing the most advanced stepped-hull design available today. Additionally, the Valhalla is the largest resin-infused center console, crafted with fiberglass and a hybrid of carbon fiber/E-glass materials for optimal strength and weight efficiency. The structural stringer grid, deck, liners, and hardtop are all resin-infused, and the grid has been designed for easy installation of a gyro stabilizer, accessible through a watertight cockpit sole hatch. Lonni notes that while a smaller gyro could suffice, they aimed to provide maximum comfort for customers with the inclusion of a Seakeeper 9. Every hatch is equipped with deep drain channels and gaskets molded into place to ensure optimal performance.
