Boat Description

Introducing the All-New Tartan 395: a stunning blend of beauty, strength, and craftsmanship that stands out in the world of production sailboats. Tartan Yachts continues to uphold its stellar reputation for creating the most aesthetically pleasing and expertly constructed performance cruising sailboats. Designed by Tim Jackett, the Tartan 395 marks a new chapter in the legacy of exceptional Tartan sailboats that began nearly six decades ago. Every aspect of the Tartan 395's design and construction is meticulously examined to ensure superior cruising performance. Its hull shape is an evolution of proven concepts that provide remarkable stability and spacious interiors while maintaining gentle handling across various sailing conditions. Crafted with advanced laminating techniques, the hull and deck feature multi-axial layouts of uni-directional e-glass fibers around closed cell structural foam for the hull and traditional balsa coring for the deck, all infused with modified epoxy resin. This method results in a lightweight, strong, and rigid structure, highlighting Tartan's commitment to using top-tier materials and processes that enhance performance. On deck, the Tartan 395 showcases signature Tartan design elements, including a classic cabin house adorned with elegant polished stainless steel rectangular portholes. True to Tartan's legacy, the 395 offers ample natural ventilation and light with 12 house-side portholes, 2 cockpit portholes, 7 deck hatches, and 2 Dorades. The spacious cockpit serves as the heart of the boat, designed for both socializing and sailing. With twin wheels positioned wide apart, visibility while sailing or motoring is unobstructed, complemented by a clear center walkway leading to the hinge-down transom platform. All sail controls are conveniently routed to cabintop winches, with headsail trimming winches easily accessible from each helm. The self-tacking jib sheet and double-ended mainsheet simplify single and short-handed sailing. Tartan collaborates with the world's most reliable deck hardware suppliers, ensuring the best quality and installation, reinforcing their promise of delivering the finest sailing experience.
