Renowned for its superior ride and handling, this boat is tailored for the serious angler, featuring a range of built-in fishing amenities from bow to stern. Each Davis boat is meticulously designed to ensure exceptional fishing experiences while providing comfort for the crew and family, no matter the distance of your journey. The 42 Center Console boasts a proven hull design inspired by the 28 and 34 center consoles, enhanced with a custom deck and helm. It features a spacious helm area, complete with a head, galley, dinette, and berth, alongside practical amenities such as an anchor locker with a seawater washdown, fold-down forward seating, and a forward-facing lounge seat with ample storage for relaxation. A sizeable fish box is conveniently located in the deck, ahead of the lounge seat, while recessed storage lockers and grab rails throughout the vessel ensure safety. The expansive navigation helm offers generous space for electronics, complemented by an electronics box integrated into the hardtop. Under the triple helm seats, you’ll find a custom refrigerator/freezer, extensive tackle storage, a sink with a seawater washdown, and a built-in cutting board. The cockpit is outfitted with two under-deck fish boxes featuring macerator pump-outs, and integrated stern seats frame a large transom livewell. Rod storage is conveniently placed below the gunnel, and a starboard dive door is standard. The 42 Center Console is powered by standard triple 350 Yamaha engines, with optional quad 300HP or 350HP engines available, providing impressive speed and range, all while showcasing the signature Buddy Davis style. As with all Buddy Davis models, the 42 Center Console offers extensive customization options, including towers, hull colors, Seakeeper, and fishing features. Standard equipment includes a diesel generator, air conditioning, triple helm chairs, an electric grill, and integrated seating, among others. The center console is equipped with a Ritchie Supersport Compass, a Marine Stereo with AM/FM/USB/Bluetooth and 8 premium speakers, a powerful 700W amp, and subwoofer, along with a sleek black acrylic flush mount for electronics. The electrical system is breaker-protected, featuring a battery system with switches and marine batteries, along with a charger and power cord. The helm is designed for comfort and functionality, complete with a polished steering wheel, recessed footrest, and handrails. In terms of deck and cockpit features, the boat includes 360° coaming pads, stainless steel trim tabs, cockpit lighting, and a starboard dive door with a folding ladder. Safety is ensured with automatic bilge pumps and stainless steel hardware. The deck is designed for ease of use with molded non-skid surfaces, integrated folding transom seats, and a bow roller with anchor windlass. Inside the console, amenities include a CO detector, courtesy LED lights, a bilge high water alarm, and sleeping accommodations for two complete with reading lights. The stand-up head compartment features a Corian® countertop, while the galley is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, sink, and cooktop. Dining is comfortable with a table that seats four, and there are provisions for air conditioning and a diesel generator, as well as an LED TV with an AM/FM/CD/DVD player. For fishing, the boat is equipped with a 60-gallon freshwater system with two washdowns and a transom shower, along with insulated in-floor fish boxes and illuminated transom livewells. Additional fishing features include stainless steel rod holders and a fiberglass T-top with molded-in spreader lights and rod holders.
