At the heart of the Tracer 9 is an 890cc liquid-cooled DOHC inline 3-cylinder engine featuring Yamaha’s crossplane crankshaft technology. Producing approximately 117 horsepower and 69 lb-ft of torque, the CP3 engine offers thrilling acceleration and strong midrange power. A 6-speed transmission with assist-and-slipper clutch ensures smooth shifting and controlled deceleration, while Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) provides precise throttle response.
CHASSIS & SUSPENSION
A lightweight aluminum Deltabox frame provides agile handling and high-speed stability. Fully adjustable KYB suspension—41mm inverted front fork and link-type rear shock—delivers a refined ride across varied road conditions. Dual 298mm front disc brakes with radial-mount calipers and ABS provide strong, predictable stopping power for spirited riding and touring alike.

The Tracer 9 features a full-color TFT display with selectable ride modes, traction control, slide control, and lift control systems.
