Engine

• The SV-7GX’s 645 cm³ liquid-cooled 90° DOHC V-twin engine arrives with over 25 years of proven performance which delivers smooth, seamless power through a broad, linear torque curve.

• The engine’s SCEM cylinder plating, coated pistons, and L-shaped piston rings reduce friction and help ensure long-term durability.

Transmission

• The multi-plate clutch has precise push rod actuation of the pressure plate for a light pull and consistent release point.

• The new bi-directional Quick Shift allows seamless clutch-less upshifts and downshifts, reducing fatigue and enhancing ride quality.

Chassis

• The SV-7GX’s lightweight tubular steel trellis frame delivers balanced rigidity, a low center of gravity, and slim proportions for agile, predictable handling.

• The new 4.6-gal US (17.4 L) fuel tank offers extended touring range while maintaining a slim, comfortable profile that riders can grasp with their knees.

Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.)

• The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) provides the rider with a choice of three different engine power output modes. All three modes deliver maximum engine output but provide different throttle response and torque characteristics when accelerating.

• Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle System leverages the capability of the SV-7GX’s advanced ECM and CAN-style wire harness to precisely control engine output relative to throttle action.

Electrical

• The SV-7GX’s dual-function LED projector headlight incorporates what is known as aerial light distribution, a specialized beam pattern designed to help improve rider visibility in certain cornering situations. As the bike leans into a turn, the beam shifts to project onto the road.

• With lower electrical draw than conventional lighting, the LED headlight, position lights, turn signals and taillight complement the SV-7GX’s wind-cheating body, while improving both visibility and durability.

Body & Styling

• The new upper cowl’s adjustable windscreen offers three height settings, with a total adjustment range of approximately 2.0 in. (50 mm), so riders can select a height to help reduce helmet buffeting or other airflow to the rider or passenger.

• Attractive standard-equipped knuckle covers are fully integrated into the design of the front cowl and complement the SV-7GX’s sharp frontal styling
