The Tiara 2900 Open Classic boasts a hull designed with prop pockets that reduce shaft and running angles, resulting in a lower bow height during cruising. Its ax-head rudders enhance maneuverability and control. Engine noise is kept to a minimum thanks to sound insulation in the engine room and a muffler system featuring side exhausts. The boat's construction includes a vinylester barrier coat, a solid-glass bottom, and hull sides reinforced with knitted biaxial cloth and Coremat, while the decks are strengthened with end-grain balsa. To prevent alignment issues, the engines are securely mounted with solid-brass rods that run horizontally through the stringers. The cabin features a bifold door at the companionway for convenient access. The dinette's aft back cushion lifts and latches to the overhead via a nylon strap, creating a spacious double berth measuring six feet, four inches beneath the helm station. The forward berth also accommodates two, thanks to a fold-up drop section. The head includes a uniquely curved door to maximize space. The galley is equipped with a dual-voltage refrigerator, a single-burner electric cooktop, and a molded sink with a pressure freshwater system. The cockpit features a tilting helm console and a gray fiberglass dash that reduces glare on the VDO gauges. Back-to-back seating ensures the helmsman has an unobstructed view through the windshield, which is designed with a thick poly trim band to deflect spray. Additional options in the cockpit include fish wells and a walk-through transom door.
