The Tartan 28 is a well-equipped sloop featuring a fin keel, a keel-stepped mast, and a spade rudder. Powered by a Yanmar diesel engine, this boat comfortably accommodates up to 5 people, making it an excellent choice for an affordable weekend getaway. The layout includes a V-berth at the bow, a head located just aft to starboard, followed by a cozy salon with a galley to port and a quarter berth situated at the starboard navigation station. Recent upgrades include: - 2022: Bottom scraped and a complete wax. - 2021: Installation of two new battery chargers, a new mainsail cover, and a new boom tent. - 2020: Added a solar vent, two new deep cycle marine house batteries, and two new bilge pumps. - 2019: Fresh bottom paint with two coats of black Ultrakote (no blisters found), hull compounded and waxed, all thru-hulls serviced, standing rigging inspected, new prop installed, and new jib sheets, mainsheet, and mainsail halyard added. Additionally, new stainless steel lifelines were installed, all light fixtures replaced with LED bulbs, a new throttle cable fitted, and a new engine water pump installed. All portlights and screens have been replaced as well. The asking price reflects some damage to the starboard side toerail incurred during a hurricane before the current ownership, along with some previously leaked interior wood on the starboard side, which is now no longer leaking.
