The Seaworthy 28 shares its roots with the BHM 28 (Bass Harbor Marine 28), featuring the same fundamental hull design and heritage. During its production period, BHM hulls and similar designs were often constructed and sold under various names, depending on the workshops involved in their creation, completion, or marketing. Consequently, these boats are frequently referred to as either BHM 28 or Seaworthy 28, even when the builder names differ on documentation. This particular model is equipped with advanced electronics including a RayMarine C95 MFD 9" Display, RD418D Radar, and an EV-200 Autopilot, all integrated into a SeaTalk NG Network. It also features depth, temperature, and speed sensors, along with a rudder angle indicator. On the mechanical side, it boasts an AquaDrive Transmission B20/CV30, new motor mounts installed in 2020, and a PSS Dripless Stuffing Box. Additional upgrades include an alternator upgrade with a spare alternator and belts, enhanced engine soundproofing, a replaced heat exchanger from 2019, and dual Racor filters. For safety and convenience, there are two automatic bilge pumps. Extra features include a custom swim platform, a new windlass with anchor (2025) and 125' chain rode, a Wallas stove/heater and sink, a spotlight, and comfortable memory foam V berth cushions with Sunbrella covers (2024). The package also comes with docklines, fenders, life jackets, a pump toilet, davits, a hard dinghy with a sail kit (7’), and a Loadmaster 3-axle trailer (2020).
