Originally named "Javalina Queen," Dauntless is crafted for high-latitude sailing, boasting six inches of insulation throughout. Its enclosed, heated pilot house, robust steel hull, and reinforced bow make it capable of navigating through Arctic ice packs. The layout prioritizes simplicity and functionality, with a master cabin located aft for convenient helm access and guest quarters forward, complete with a desk and private head. Enjoy unforgettable moments on the spacious whale-watching platform around the bow sprit, perfect for gatherings with friends and family. The galley is equipped with a large, gimbaled four-burner stove and oven, along with two full-sized refrigerators and a deep freezer located in the engine room for all your refrigeration needs. The salon features a comfortable sofa and dinette, ideal for socializing. The engine room is generously sized, featuring a workbench, a generator, a welder, and a refreshed 3208 Caterpillar main motor. Dauntless is well-equipped with ground tackle, including two 400-pound anchors, each accompanied by 250 feet of chain stored in user-friendly house pipes. For power, the yacht utilizes two D-series deep cycle batteries and two D-series lithium polymer batteries. Charging is facilitated by a master volt inverter charger when connected to shore power, complemented by 1000 watts of solar power paired with a 60-amp charge converter for use while cruising on diesel power. The transmission gearing allows for a range of 1000 nautical miles with a single 300-gallon fuel tank. For navigation, Dauntless is outfitted with two 24-inch computers running Coastal Explorer, each featuring AIS receivers, GPS receivers, and a marine NMEA 2000 network backbone.
