Introducing SOCKEYE, a 32' Nordic Tug from 1997, exemplifying the timeless design of Pacific Northwest cruising. This vessel has undergone extensive quality upgrades from bow to stern, making it a standout choice for any sailor. Notable enhancements include a powerful 210hp 6BT 5.9M Cummins engine, complete with new injectors, seawater and freshwater pumps, exhaust system, hoses, belts, and thermostat, all confirmed by excellent oil samples and compression test results. Additional improvements feature a new ZF-63 gear and transmission cooler, a complete exhaust system from National Marine Exhaust, and a custom heat exchanger from Seakamp Marine. The vessel is equipped with a new Sherwood seawater pump and Groco main strainer, as well as a fresh fuel delivery system utilizing a 20/10/10 micron Fleetguard setup. New thru-hull fittings, valves, sanitation tubing, and a discharge pump have also been installed. Comfort is ensured with a new Seaward 6-gallon water heater, Johnson potable and spray-down water pumps, and tank level monitors for fuel and water. The Espar D5 Forced Air Diesel Heater has been refurbished, and new AGM batteries have been added for the start bank, along with a new main engine starter and relay. The updated Cummins control panel and wiring enhance functionality, while new electronics, including a Garmin chartplotter/radar and Autopilot, Emtrak AIS, VHF, and stereo, provide modern navigation capabilities. A new 400AH Lithium House Bank with a 2000W Xantrex inverter and Victron Bluetooth monitor offers efficient power management. The interior boasts a new Raritan Elegance toilet with wireless control, a fresh headliner, pilot house windows, teak paneling, and LED cabin lights. The custom teak salon table and a Force 10 propane oven with three burners add to the vessel's charm. On deck, a new PYI PSS dripless seal, Lewmar windlass, and 33lb Mantus anchor with 200ft chain and 150ft line rode enhance safety and convenience. A spare Bruce anchor with chain/line rode is stowed in the lazarette, and a new Vetus bow thruster increases maneuverability. The cockpit features a new bimini from Liberty Bay Canvas, and a new AB 9ft tender with a Weaver Davit is included. The boat has a new epoxy-coated 170-gallon fuel tank with inspection ports and a custom polymer bow strake protector, a unique feature among Nordics. Recent work includes hull blasting and new bottom paint, refurbishment of the prop with prop speed, and upcoming maintenance scheduled for 2026.
