The Moody 33 MKI is a 33-foot masthead sloop, expertly designed by Angus Primrose and crafted from fiberglass by Moody Yachts between 1973 and 1978. This boat comfortably accommodates up to 6 people across 3 cabins and a spacious salon. It has been extensively cruised in the Pacific Northwest for 9 years, often anchoring out for 4-5 months each year. The full cockpit enclosure and cushioned seating eliminate the need for foul weather gear. The head features a composting toilet for hassle-free use. The sails include a main with one deep reef in fair condition, a 150 North Sails Genoa in excellent condition, and a symmetrical spinnaker in good to fair shape. The reliable Thornycroft T90 engine runs excellently, with many spare parts available, though the total hours are unknown. A complete Garmin setup from 2013 includes a chart plotter, radar, AIS (send and receive), and VHF. The boat boasts a 40-gallon water tank, plus an additional 18 gallons in the quarter berth. The ground tackle features 180 feet of chain, 200 feet of rode, a Rocna 15 anchor, a windlass, and a wash-down pump. An arch supports 690 watts of solar power, along with dinghy davits and a full bench. There's a Freedom 1800w inverter providing 110v throughout the boat, a large Dometic freezer (both 12v and 110v), a Dometic refrigerator, and a separate cooler. Additional items include a bosun's chair and various engine spares. A Mercury 7.5ft inflatable dinghy with a 3.3hp Mercury 2-stroke engine is also included, both in good condition and ready for use. The boat comes with a transferable 36-foot slip in South Everett, subject to marina approval. However, it requires some attention: a haul-out for bottom paint is needed (always used Seahawk), the autopilot is not functioning and requires a new Garmin drive unit, the anchor and navigation lights are inoperable, and the aft cabin cushions need recovering.
