Boat Description
Introducing a beautifully maintained 1982 Ed Monk 36, a classic trawler yacht that combines durability with traditional aesthetics. This vessel features a bow thruster and is powered by a single Lehman 120hp engine with only 1300 hours of use. With an overall length of 36 feet, a beam of 13 feet, and a draft of approximately 3 feet, it offers both stability and comfort on the water. The boat cruises at around 9 knots and can reach a maximum speed of 11 knots, equipped with a fuel capacity of 320 gallons and a freshwater capacity of 120 gallons.
Accommodating two staterooms and two heads, the layout includes a cozy double bed to port, an aft cabin, and a V-berth forward. The well-appointed galley features a spacious refrigerator/freezer, a three-burner stove with an oven, a large sink, and a delightful view of the water, perfect for cooking meals while enjoying the scenery.
The salon is designed for comfort with ample seating for at least four, complemented by a drop-leaf dining table with booth seating. The forward stateroom includes a V-berth with an attached wet head, while the aft stateroom boasts a full beam layout, private aft deck entrance, and an attached full head with a nice shower.
The interior station is well-equipped with electronics and engine controls, while the fully enclosed flybridge features a Strataglass front windscreen, isinglass, and canvas that remains in serviceable condition for the next owner. It is also equipped with essential electronics such as a VHF radio, autopilot, chart plotter, GPS, and a bow thruster, along with comfortable seating for six.
The solid decks provide excellent non-skid properties, free of cracks, with sturdy cleats and handrails. The bow features a heavy windlass with foot controls and a robust cleat. Additionally, the lazarette offers ample storage and easy access for servicing the steering gear, with space for additional tankage if desired.
