Renowned New England boatbuilder Ernie Mackenzie crafted the 26 Cuttyhunk specifically for the challenging waters of Buzzards Bay. "DAZE" is the result of a meticulous three-year restoration by Strand Built / Custom Boat and Woodwork in Connecticut, setting a new standard for Cuttyhunks. This unique Mackenzie is available at a price significantly below its restoration cost. Built in 1968, it includes a trailer and boasts features such as a cold-molded bottom and Coosa board used in the foredeck, gunwales, main bulkhead, and cockpit adorned with teak overlay. The transom features a stunning mahogany overlay and an engine box crafted with care. Recent upgrades include a new teak cockpit sole over Coosa composite, Centek Vernatone mufflers, and completed interior carpentry and brightwork. The boat has received extensive renovations over the past few years, including new cabinetry, improved exhaust systems, and a modernized helm with Garmin MFD and hydraulic controls. The hull and interior have been freshly painted, while the foredeck and gunwales have been upgraded with durable Coosa composite panels and elegant mahogany accents. Designed for performance, this vessel achieves a cruising speed of 20 knots at 3600 rpm and a maximum speed of 30 knots, making it a remarkable blend of heritage and modern craftsmanship.
