New 20-foot bowriders are running $75,000 to $115,000 this spring. This one's $17,400, and the owner set that number deliberately below comparable asking prices so the next owner has budget room for the one remaining to-do item (more on that below). Same general footprint as a new bowrider, same 'seats eight and flies across the lake' capability, with a fuel-injected V8 that still wants to work.

• SX single-prop sterndrive. Simpler and cheaper to service than the duoprop stuff.

We Already Did the Homework:

We ran this boat through our shop before we put it on the market (RO #60745). The Volvo lake-tested clean. Started first turn, idled smooth, ran on-plane without complaint, came back to idle cleanly. Engine's healthy, and ready to go. While we had it in the bay we rewired the blower switch the right way, replaced the bow light, fixed a blown fuse, and swapped in a working temperature gauge. It's not mint. It's honest.

The One Thing You Should Know (and Why the Price Is What It Is):

The gimbal bearing and u-joints are a little noisy. Standard wear item on a 19-year-old sterndrive. It's not stopping the boat from running this summer, and here's the reasonable part: the owner chose to list this one below market on purpose so you've got roughly $2,500 of room in your pocket to service it at a Volvo-authorized shop whenever it suits you. Do it now, do it next season, do it when the noise starts bugging you. Either way, the money's in your budget, not the asking price. That's not how most private sellers operate.
