Crafted by renowned Dutch Naval Architect Dick Koopmans, Sr., this vessel is designed for extended live-aboard experiences and open ocean voyages. With a balanced and proven rig and underbody, she offers a stable and easily manageable sailing platform. Built at the Van Wavaren Boatyard in Rotterdam, her rolled and faired steel hull features a center cockpit and a deep draft of 7' 6" with a robust 14,300-pound keel. Inside, you’ll discover a functional and simply finished custom interior that provides practical comfort for both offshore adventures and local cruising. Commissioned in 1990 in Holland, she was later imported to Maine, where her interior was completed by the Hinkley Yard. "Resolution" has circumnavigated the globe, with her current owner acquiring her in New Zealand in 2012. Since then, she has explored the Pacific, visiting stunning locations such as Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Palau, Japan, the Aleutian Islands, mainland Alaska, British Columbia, and Washington state. In 2024, she underwent a comprehensive refit, including the replacement of her standing and running rigging, a thorough 5,000-hour engine service, and a complete rebuild of her teak deck house with a fiberglass, non-skid surface.
