This boat is from the original owner and has never had bottom paint. It was exclusively sailed in freshwater from 2013 to 2020 (on an inland lake) and has only been used a few times each summer while being dry-sailed. The spacious 11' cockpit and moderately high boom facilitate easy movement for the crew during tacks and jibes. For added comfort while sitting or hiking, the cockpit is equipped with mid-height padded backrests and lifelines, making the J/70 one of the most comfortable boats to helm without the need for hiking straps. Below deck, a small cabin offers weather protection, a cozy spot for a nap, and personal space—crucial for a pleasant day on the water. Safety is a top priority, especially for children, and the J/70 features convenient storage for an outboard engine, ensuring quick and safe access to the transom. The sail inventory includes a 2022 Quantum Main and Jib, along with a 2013 Quantum Main, Jib, and Spinnaker. Additional features include a Honda 2.3hp outboard engine, a Triad Trailer, hoist lifting straps, a keel crane, and various covers for the top, bottom, mast, boom, and rudder. The Velocitek Prostart, main halyard, spinnaker sheets, and tack line were all replaced in 2022, and a new tiller extension will be added in 2025.
