The J109 Trifecta is an exceptional racer/cruiser designed for stellar performance across a variety of wind conditions and rating systems. Refined by Greg Stewart at Nelson Marek Yacht Design, Trifecta has achieved numerous race victories under her current ownership and remains in excellent condition. The interior features a beautifully appointed two-cabin layout, one head, a cozy dinette, a full galley, and an enclosed head, all crafted with teak wood. This 2004 J109 has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment by Kevin Miller from North Sails, with no expenses spared. Notable upgrades include: newer rod standing rigging with chrome-bronze turnbuckles from Seatek, a black satin Awlgrip finish on the mast and boom, an updated Harken Carbo Foil for headsails, custom Dynema running rigging, and a 2:1 main halyard. Additionally, a newer Harken hydraulic backstay adjuster with remote panel control, custom kelp cutters for the keel and rudder, and a sail drive kelp deflector were engineered by Dennis Choate. The bottom has been faired, epoxied, and polished, while the keel and rudder have been optimized in design. Other upgrades include a new one-design deeper keel molded at Mars Metal in Canada, updated Harken primary winches, stainless steel lifelines with custom pads, and a high-gloss white epoxy bottom finish. The deck features Awlgrip LPU paint, complemented by an extensive North Sail inventory, a custom stainless steel racing bow pulpit, and a Dynema retractable sprit strop. A newer CARBONAUTICA GPR helm destroyer wheel, painted in gloss black with a neoprene-covered circumference, completes this impressive package.
